Ellis Simms has been handed his Premier League debut by Rafa Benitez as Everton's injury crisis takes hold against Chelsea.
The young striker, who signed a new contract with the club last month, spent the second half of 2020/21 on loan with Blackpool and has been on the bench for the senior side in the past.
Simms is one of five changes made by the Blues for their trip to Stamford Bridge after defeat against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
Jarrad Branthwaite and Jonjoe Kenny have both come into what looks like a five-man defensive line, with Seamus Coleman and Fabian Delph dropping out of the side.

Alex Iwobi, Anthony Gordon and Simms have also been added to the attacking set-up in place of Richarlison and Andros Townsend, who both have injuries of their own.
Demarai Gray has also dropped out of the side, with his absence yet to be explained.
Everton have only named seven players on the bench, with youngsters Lewis Dobbin and Tyler Onyango both included in the squad.
Coleman, Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Allan, meanwhile, make up the more experienced outfield options among the substitutes.
