Everton team news for Leeds as Alex Iwobi may have new role in starting line up

Alexi Iwobi looks to have been picked to play at left-wing back today as Carlo Ancelotti sets about coping without the injured Lucas Digne.

There is no place in the matchday squad for Niels Nkounkou as the Everton boss makes only two changes from the side that saw off Fulham.

And it appears, at this stage, that he may stick with the 3-4-3 formation.

There is a recall to the starting line-up for Mason Holgate and one for Tom Davies. Both are making only their second league starts of the season.

Holgate, who captains the side today, looks to be part of a back three alongside Michael Keane and Ben Godfrey.

Yerry Mina is dropped to the bench.

Davies, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Allan and Iwobi look like being the midfield four with James Rodriguez, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison the front three.

Jordan Pickford continues in goal.

On the bench, Ancelotti has selected Jonas Lossl, Fabian Delph, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Yerry Mina, Cenk Tosun, Bernard and Andre Gomes.

Anthony Gordon, Jonjoe Kenny and Jarrad Branthwaite - who played for the under-23s last night - miss out, along with Nkounkou.

EVERTON: Pickford, Holgate (C), Keane, Godfrey, Allan, Davies, Doucouré, Iwobi, Rodriguez, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin.

SUBS: Lossl, Delph, Sigurdsson, Mina, Tosun, Bernard, Gomes.

LEEDS: Meslier, Ayling, Koch, Cooper, Dallas, Phillips, Klich, Raphinha, Alioski, Harrison, Bamford.
