Everton team news for Fulham as Amadou Onana one of three changes

Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains absent for Everton despite making progress towards recovery.

The 26-year-old, pictured training at Finch Farm this week, is not involved for what is set to be a crucial home match with Fulham. Sean Dyche does, however, make three changes to the side that lost against Manchester United last week.

James Garner is set to start for the first time in the Premier League since his arrival on the last day of the summer transfer window. Vitalii Mykolenko and Neal Maupay also make the first XI.

The starting line-up represents a significant shift away from the team that lost 2-0 at Old Trafford. Seamus Coleman is an enforced absence through injury and he is set to be replaced by Ben Godfrey. Godfrey started at left back against Manchester United but was withdrawn at half-time - today he is favoured ahead of Nathan Patterson and moved to the right of the defence.

The other two players involved last week but not in the starting line-up are Amadou Onana, who is not involved at all, and Ellis Simms, who drops to the bench. Several formation options are available to Dyche but the changes could see Garner join Idrissa Gueye and Alex Iwobi in midfield with Demarai Gray and Dwight McNeil starting out wide and Maupay leading the front line.

Dyche has also named two academy starlets in a matchday squad for the first time with Stanley Mills and 16-year-old Ishe Samuels-Smith making the bench.

STARTING XI: Pickford; Mykolenko, Tarkowski, Keane, Godfrey; McNeil, Garner, Gueye, Iwobi, Gray, Maupay
