Everton team news and line-up confirmed for Aston Villa as Carlo Ancelotti makes five changes

Carlo Ancelotti has made five changes to the Everton starting line-up after slamming the players’ attitude in the defeat to Wolves.

The fit-again Mason Holgate replaces the injured Yerry Mina in defence with Seamus Coleman, Alex Iwobi, Andre Gomes and Bernard all coming back into the team.

Theo Walcott, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Anthony Gordon and Leighton Baines are all dropped to the bench for this evening’s game with Aston Villa.

Ancelotti looks like he will revert to a 4-4-2 formation with Jordan Pickford in goal, Coleman at right-back, Michael Keane and Holgate in the middle and Lucas Digne at left-back.

Iwobi will play on the right of midfield with Tom Davies, the fit-again Gomes and Bernard.

Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are upfront.

Everton (4-4-2): Pickford, Coleman, Keane, Holgate, Digne, Iwobi, Davies, Gomes, Bernard, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin

Subs: Stekeleburg, Virginia, Baines, Walcott, Sigurdsson, Gordon, Sidibe, Branthwaite, Kean
