Everton target Gabriel Magalhaes has not been included in Lille's squad for their friendly game today.
The Brazilian defender is absent from the squad that is facing Stade Brestois at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
Lille have yet to clarify the reason for Gabriel's omission but it comes the day after president Gerard Lopez confirmed that the in-demand defender would be leaving the club this summer.
Everton have a long-standing interest in the 22-year-old and made headway on a deal to bring him to Goodison before the coronavirus crisis struck.
The Blues were no longer prepared to meet the £30m asking price and went back to Lille in a bid to renegotiate.
In recent months, Arsenal, Napoli, Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain have been linked with the centre-half who, according to Lopez, will make a decision on his next club by no later than next week.
He said: "We are there now, so we told him : 'Eventually you have to make a decision but we're not pressing you.' I think he will make it this week, or next week at the latest. He is leaving, we've given the OK for that."
