Everton suffer Dominic Calvert-Lewin injury blow as trio set to miss Manchester United friendly

Everton are expected to be without the injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin for today’s friendly with Manchester United.

The Blues striker, who only returned to training on Monday after being involved with England in Euro 2020, is understood to have injured his toe in training this week, with the extent of the problem not yet known.

Everton are also likely to be missing Moise Kean and Jean-Phillippe Gbamin for the game at Old Trafford, which kicks-off at 12:45.

Kean and Gbamin have featured regularly in pre-season with the Italian striker starting both games in the US recently.

Richarlison remains away on international duty with Brazil at the Olympics so it is unclear who will start upfront for the Blues today.

Nathan Broadhead had been deployed as a centre-forward at times in Florida.
