Everton submit plans for changes at Goodison Park

Everton have submitted plans to enhance and expand the fanzone at Goodison Park .

An application to Liverpool Council shows how the Blues hope to replace the existing stage at the fanzone at the Park End of the stadium.

The move would also see the area expanded outwards slightly into part of the car park because of the zone's popularity.

A post on the club's website reads: "Hosted by Giulia Bould and open from three hours before kick-off, each match there will be live music courtesy of local bands, great giveaways, as well as regular appearances from former players and other star names."

As well as the new stage, a small building is set to be built behind the fanzone for performers.

Council officers will consider the plans over the coming weeks and months.

The move to expand the fanzone at Goodison comes as the club continues to press ahead with a planned move to a new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock .

Images of how the stadium could look were released this summer, with the club hoping to submit its plans to the council formally by the end of this year.

The extensive consultation on the proposed plans amounted to the largest public consultation ever conducted in Liverpool and the full results are set to be released next month.

Everton also hope to submit the legacy plans for Goodison Park and the area around it before the end of 2019.
