Everton submit deal sheet to complete Josh King signing

Everton have submitted a deal sheet to the Premier League as they try to complete the signing of Josh King.

The Blues hope to seal the signing of the 29-year-old from Bournemouth on a short-term deal.

Everton had until 11pm to issue documentation to the Premier League proving that a deal had been agreed with the Championship club and they now have an extra two hours to finish all remaining paperwork.

King has been on Everton's radar for months but they made their move early this evening when a deal had been agreed with Preston North End for the loan of Anthony Gordon.

The Blues faced competition from Fulham for King and the Cottagers were said to be offering the striker a long-term deal.

But Everton are hoping to seal his signing until the end of the season.

At the end of the campaign, King will become a free agent as he is into the final six months of his contract with the Championship club.
