Everton strike record-breaking kit deal with hummel

Everton have today confirmed a club record three-year kit deal with hummel.

The Danish sportswear brand will replace Umbro as the Blues' suppliers of match, training and official leisure wear.

Umbro had been Everton's kit partner for the past six years in a deal that was worth between £4-5m a year but the deal with hummel is said to be a 'significant' increase on that.

The Blues have not revealed the value of the new deal but it is estimated to be worth between £8-10m, double what Umbro were paying.

Everton only signed a new multi-year deal with Umbro 12 months ago but included an option that allowed the club to break the contract after a year if a more lucrative deal could be found.

The Blues are yet to announce when the first hummel kit will be available but are expected to provide an update in the coming weeks.

As Everton's new 'technical partner' hummel will provide kit for the Men’s, Women’s and Academy squads as well as the club’s coaching and Everton in the Community staff.
