Everton star Richarlison branded 'clown' by Arturo Vidal in edited Instagram post

Everton forward Richarlison has been called a ‘clown’ after trolling Chile following their defeat by Brazil in World Cup qualifying.

Arturo Vidal shared an edited picture which showed Richarlison with a clown emoji covering his face as the pair’s feud since the Copa America continues.

Brazil knocked Chile out of the tournament in the summer before losing to Argentina on penalties in the summer.

Following the July defeat, Vidal said on Instagram: 'See us in Chile but without help', insinuating Brazil had needed the help of officials to beat them but would not be so fortunate during the World Cup qualifier, according to MailOnline .

On Friday, the Inter Milan midfielder’s comments resurfaced after Brazil again beat Chile, this time in World Cup qualifying, courtesy of Everton Ribeiro’s goal.

Brazilian outlet TNT Sports shared the quotes to which Richarlison commented ‘Se busca’ on the post, which roughly translates to ‘wanted’.

Vidal responded with the edited image and said: “And this clown who knows him?”

Richarlison did not feature in the game after Brazil agreed to cancel his international call-up after the Everton number seven played in the Copa America before winning gold at the Olympics in Tokyo.

The Blues escaped a FIFA referral after the Brazilian FA said its good working relationship with the Toffees was behind the decision.

It means the attacker can rest ahead of the Blues’ Premier League clash with Burnley after starting the first three games of the season.

A week after competing at the Games, Richarlison started and scored in the 3-1 opening day victory over Southampton before playing at Leeds and Brighton.
