Everton star Lucas Digne sends cutting message to Arsenal after Premier League victory

Lucas Digne played a key part in Everton's win against Arsenal on Sunday and has responded to claims the goal shouldn't have stood.

It was the Frenchman's long throw-in which caused some trouble for the Gunners.

Phil Jagielka became the Premier League's oldest goalscorer this season as he tapped in from close range.

A still image showing Digne's foot on the line as he launched the ball into the box has circled on social media.

Many Arsenal fans believe the 25-year-old's boot was over the line but Digne has hit back on Twitter.

The left-back comically wrote: "When you lose and you have nothing to say"

Digne's response has received almost 2,000 retweets and over 7,000 likes.

The Blues have now won three games in a row without conceding for the first time since January 2017.
