Former Everton forward Louis Saha believes Andre Gomes is one of the Premier League's signings of the summer.
Gomes completed his permanent switch to Goodison Park in June, with the Blues forking out £22million to secure the services of the 25-year-old who spent last season on loan at the club from Barcelona.
The Portuguese international, who has penned a 5-year contract at Goodison Park, was a stand out last season in his 29 appearances for Marco Silva's side.
The Blues are believed to have beaten off teams from around Europe to secure Gomes's signature, with Saha branding the former La Liga star 'a tremendous player'.
"Andre Gomes has to be one of the Premier League’s signings of the summer," the former France international told Bwin .
"He was amazing for Everton last year, he is a tremendous player.
"The way that he holds onto the ball is perfect, he has the ability to pick the right passes, protect the defence at the right moment and, most importantly, he is consistent.
"Football is all about consistency and getting the right results. Gomes has the ability to turn draws into wins and losses into draws. Now that they have added even more quality up front, he will only continue to improve."
