Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny has been nominated for the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season award after impressing on-loan at Schalke.
The right back arrived in the summer and established himself as an important member of the squad for David Wagner's side, making 29 league appearances and bagging two goals in that time.
The 23-year-old hit the ground running during his time in the Bundesliga, winning the Rookie of the Month award for August to place him in contention for the end-of-season award.
But the Everton man is facing some strong competition to claim the honour.
Borussia Monchengladbach's Marcus Thuram, Cologne star Ismail Jakobs, Dortmund's striking sensation Erling Haaland and Bayern Munich's breakout youngster Alphonso Davies are the other names in the running for the award.
Each month, three rookies were nominated for the award based on their performance data, which was derived from their points tally accumulated every month in official Bundesliga Fantasy Manager.
To qualify as a rookie, a player must be under the age of 23 before matchday 1 of the 2019/20 campaign and have not started a Bundesliga match before this season.
Schalke have three matches left of the season, starting with a trip to face Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.
