Everton set to welcome back five senior players for pre-season training

Everton will welcome back five senior players to pre-season training on Monday.

The Blues jet out to Kenya tonight ahead of Sunday's opening friendly of the summer against Kariobangi Sharks.

Marco Silva is expected to travel with a squad comprised of first-team regulars and up and coming young talent after the players have staged a staggered return to Finch Farm.

But the Everton boss will be able to call upon Jordan Pickford, Seamus Coleman, Lucas Digne, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Michael Keane from the beginning of next week.

Everton fly straight back to Liverpool following Sunday's game in Nairobi before jetting out to Switzerland before the end of next week to begin an Alpine training camp which includes games with FC Sion and AS Monaco.

Brazilian playmaker Bernard has returned to pre-season training but countryman Richarlison remains on international duty after the Selecao reached the Copa America final.

Yerry Mina also remains on holiday after playing in the tournament with Colombia with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Kieran Dowell also away having been on England under-21 duty.
