Everton set to hand exciting young winger new deal - before sending him out on loan

Josh Bowler is set to sign a new contract with Everton — and then be sent on loan to Hull City.

The under-23s winger is in line to join the Championship side for the season but will leave Goodison but the ECHO understands he will leave Goodison having been rewarded with a new deal.

Bowler joined the Blues from Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 2017 as part of an injection of new faces into David Unsworth ’s squad and signed a three-year deal.

The 20-year-old took time to adjust to life at Everton and was hampered by injury but was a key component in the club’s Premier League 2 title winning success of last season.

Bowler scored the goal against Brighton that clinched the trophy at Goodison in April.

The winger will have impressed Marco Silva in Kenya earlier this month during the friendly with Kariobangi Sharks and further aims to show he is ready for a first-team breakthrough whilst on loan this season.
