Everton set for potential Premier League 2 title decider at Goodison Park

Everton's U23s could be set for a potential Premier League 2 title celebration at Goodison Park later this month.

David Unsworth is hoping to lead the Blues to becoming champions for the second time in the last three years, having already won the league back in 2016/17.

His current crop of youngsters currently find themselves four points clear at the top of the table with three games left to play - and could potentially claim the title with a win away to Manchester City, who are in eighth, in their next game.

Everton boss Marco Silva explains why he was delighted with Dominic Calvert-Lewin's goalless West Ham display

For that to happen, Brighton in second place would have to lose at home to last-placed Swansea on Friday evening.

But, if the young Seagulls were to win that match, then they would set up a potential title decider with Everton - in what is the Blues last home game of the campaign.

And the club have now confirmed that match will be taking place at Goodison Park, to attract a big crowd for the possible celebration.

All club members will get free entry to the match against Brighton, which takes place on April 15th with a 7:00pm kick off.

The U23s are also set to play a Premier League Cup quarter final against Blackburn Rovers in the coming weeks, but that match is yet to be scheduled.
