Everton set Fabian Delph target as Man City transfer nears

Everton hope to tie up a deal for Fabian Delph in time for him to join their Swiss training camp.

The Blues are closing in on the Manchester City midfielder in a deal worth an initial £8.5million.

Marco Silva ’s squad flew out to Switzerland on Thursday ahead of tomorrow’s friendly game with FC Sion.

Everton will continue to train in Bagnes next week before playing Monaco on Friday and then jetting back into Liverpool.

And the Blues want to wrap up the 29-year-old’s signing so he can join up with the rest of the squad and begin preparing for the new season.

Since joining Manchester City in 2015, Delph has made 89 appearances and was a member of the side the Premier League in both of the past two seasons, while he also represented England at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
