Everton sent transfer warning over deal for 'irreplaceable' Iliman Ndiaye

Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom has vowed to fight to keep Iliman Ndiaye at Bramall Lane following his side's promotion to the Premier League.

Ndiaye has scored 15 goals and created 10 more for his side so far this season, as they confirmed their place in next season's top flight. The Blades secured promotion after beating West Brom 2-0 at Bramall Lane last Wednesday.

That impressive form has led to Ndiaye being linked with a host of clubs, including Everton. The forward is under contract at Bramall Lane until 2024.

But speaking in the aftermath of his side's promotion, Heckingbottom made it clear that he is going to be doing all he can to keep the 23-year-old at the club. The Blade boss even went as far as claiming that Ndiaye is 'irreplaceable'.

He said: "There is going to be interest, but we have to do all we can to keep him. The problem is, Iliman has 12 months left, so there is a business decision as well to take.

"You know what I will say: I want to keep him. I want to have the best possible players for next season.

"You saw against Tottenham here when he came on; he was the match-winner. Would anyone else on the pitch have done that little move?

"It was just his balance and agility. We know what a player he is. How he plays, he's irreplaceable. We have one or two like that."
