Everton seal loan deal for World Cup winner Djibril Sidibe

Everton have the option to turn Djibril Sidibe's loan move from AS Monaco into a permanent deal next summer.

The Blues have tonight wrapped up the signing of the 27-year-old France international after he completed a medical earlier today.

Everton have brought Sidibe to Goodison to provide competition and cover for Seamus Coleman.

And the World Cup winner says he was drawn in by the club's policy of “recruiting with the intent to win trophies”.

“I was very happy to hear a historic and big club like Everton was thinking of signing me,” Sidibe said, after becoming the sixth signing of the summer.

“It was very easy for me. I did not have to reflect for too long before making my decision to come here.

“Everton are recruiting with the intent to win trophies and play on the biggest stage. I am 100% motivated and ready to help the Club achieve its goals and to achieve my own individual goals.”
