Three goals in six minutes saw Everton come behind and comfortably beat Burnley to move level on points with the top three of the Premier League.
Ben Mee headed Burnley in front after 56 minutes but the lead didn’t last long as seven minutes later Michael Keane rose high to nod Everton back on level terms.
Buoyed by the equaliser, new signing Andros Townsend unleashed a wonderful strike from around 35 yards out, curling into the top corner with the instep of his right boot. Less than 60 seconds after that, his fellow new recruit Demarai Gray was put through in acres of space as the Burnley defence disintegrated before calmly slotting home the goal that made the game safe.
The victory means Everton have 10 points from four matches with three wins and a draw. They are level on points with Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea, but two behind on goal difference.
Burnley had been the better side in the first half but they are still awaiting their first league win of the season and remain on one point in 18th place.
They should have been ahead in the first half but Chris Wood and Mee both missed decent chances from headers.
Mee did not make the same mistake eight minutes after the break when Johann Berg Gudmundsson crossed from a half-cleared free-kick and the Clarets captain made his way through a crowd of defenders to nod home from close range.
But a goal rush contained within 379 seconds - which included a tactical substitution and formation change - the hosts turned the match on its head and sealed the points for Rafa Benítez who has made an immediate impact at Goodison Park.
