Everton's Yerry Mina suffers injury as defender forced out of Colombia match

Yerry Mina was forced out of Colombia's game with South Korea today with an apparent hamstring injury.

The Everton defender was replaced after 42 minutes of the friendly in Seoul today and his availability for the weekend's trip to West Ham has been thrown into doubt.

Mina has been dogged by injury problems since signing for the Blues in the summer and has managed only 12 Premier League appearances.

But the 24-year-old produced an encouraging performance against Chelsea before the international break as he came in for the ineligible Kurt Zouma.

Everton will fear, however, that today's injury will be another set-back in his Goodison career.

Manager Marco Silva is also sweating on the fitness of left-back Lucas Digne who withdrew from the France squad with a thigh problem.

Digne returned to Finch Farm yesterday to begin treatment and despite being classed as a doubt, he is hopeful he will be fit for the game with West Ham.

Mina will return to Everton's training base later this week where he will be assessed.
