Everton’s Yannick Bolasie helping city youngsters secure free football coaching during half-term

Everton’s Yannick Bolasie is helping youngsters in Liverpool secure free football coaching during the upcoming half-term break.

The move comes after Liverpool City Council stepped in to provide free school meal vouchers for the poorest kids in the city after the government refused to help.

Earlier this week, the Conservatives voted down a Labour motion in Parliament which sought to back footballer Marcus Rashford's campaign to extend the meal vouchers for struggling families.

Mayor Joe Anderson then announced this morning that his cash-strapped local authority will provide the vital vouchers for the families in the city who will struggle to provide meals for their children over next week's half-term holiday.

And now Bolasie has followed on from the news by offering his own good will gesture towards those struggling at this moment in time.

He wrote on Twitter: “Free Football coaching for the kids during Half-term....(Liverpool area) if interested let me know I’ll point you in the right direction Fisted handSoccer ball (limited spaces)”

Bolasie was looking for a move away from the club in the transfer window but saw a deadline day move to Middlesbrough fail through.

As a result, he will continue to train with the Blues but has not been included in Carlo Ancelotti's 25-man Premier League squad.

Speaking on the failed move, the winger said: “Disappointed the deal couldn't get done in time...signed & sent off, waited till 19.00 with real hope

“From my end I know I was willing to give up a lot...all I wanna do is say thank you to Neil Warnock (appreciate you so much) and wish Middlesbrough all the best this season ½

“But now my focus is back on Everton & continuing to work hard everyday like I have been & if I’m called upon I’ll be ready to do whatever is necessary.”
