Everton's women learn opening two fixtures of season as transfer activity builds excitement

The revamped Everton women's team will start the new season with a trip to Bristol City next month.

Willie Kirk's side open their Women's Super League campaign with a trip to the west country on on Sunday, September 6 (2pm kick off) before welcoming Tottenham Hotspur to Walton Hall Park on Sunday, September 13 (1pm kick off).

The WSL say that further fixtures will be released "in due course".

Everton's women have been busy in the transfer market this summer, adding five players to Kirk's squad, including the addition of French striker Valerie Gauvin, which was confirmed on Thursday.

The Blues committed to boosting Kirk's transfer kitty this summer as the manager looks to build on last season's sixth-placed and put pressure on the established sides at the top, including Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal.

Sarvar Ismailov was appointed as the club's first ever Sporting and Commercial Director for the women's team and has played a key role in helping Kirk improve the squad with a clutch of new recruits.
