Everton's transfer stance on EFL recruitment ahead of deadline

Everton will keep their options open in the final week of the domestic transfer window but the club's focus is on outgoings.

Links to Bournemouth striker Josh King and Watford winger Ismailia Sarr have been downplayed by Goodison sources with efforts up until Friday's deadline likely to be concentrated on moving players out, at this stage.

Everton signed two players from the EFL in recent months, with Abdoulaye Doucoure coming in from Watford and Ben Godfrey joining from Norwich City, but ahead of next weeks' 5pm cut-off point, the Blues will be hoping to use the time to reduce the size of their squad.

Both Mo Besic and Yannick Bolasie failed to secure moves on the final day of the international window on Monday, but could now look to find a club in the Championship.

They are joined by a group of the club's under-23s players who are available for sale or loan - Callum Connolly, Matty Pennington, Nathan Broadhead and Beni Baningime.

Baningime has already seen a move to League One side Blackpool fall through, earlier in the window.

The Russian transfer window remains open until October 17 while the Portuguese window is active until October 25.
