Everton's squad valued in world's top 20 after an increase of almost £100million

Everton's squad has been valued as being in the top 20 in world football having soared over the past year according to a leading football analysis company.

The Blues finished eighth in the Premier League for the second consecutive season but the value of their squad has gone up by almost £100million in a year from £297.9million to £397.58million in what was a 33.5% increase, in figures compiled by transfermarkt.co.uk.

Everton's valuation is the highest in the Premier League outside the so-called 'big six' and puts them in 20th place worldwide, in between 19th placed Valencia (£400.95m) and Olympique Lyonnais (£396.23m) in 21st place.

Newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers, who finished above Marco Silva's side in seventh place, saw their squad valuation go up by a Premier League high 182.3% for the year from £94.52m to £266.85m.

Individually, Everton's players are valued as follows: Richarlison £45m; Jordan Pickford £36m; Gylfi Sigurdsson £31.5m; Michael Keane and Lucas Digne both £27m; Andre Gomes (on loan) £25.2m; Kurt Zouma (on loan), Idrissa Gueye and Yerry Mina all £22.5m; Bernard, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ademola Lookman all £18m; Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun both £16.2m; Morgan Schneiderlin, Seamus Coleman and Tom Davies all £13.5m; Mason Holgate £6.3m; James McCarthy, Muhamed Besic and Jonjoe Kenny all £4.5m; Leighton Baines £3.15m; Kieran Dowell £2.7m; Ashley Williams* and Beni Baningime both £1.8m; Brendan Galloway £1.35m; Maaten Stekelenburg, Phil Jagielka* and Matthew Pennington all £900k; Luke Garbutt £675k. * = players being released.
