Everton's new away kit revealed and Man City date confirmed

Everton will wear the club's new away kit on the final day of the season against Mancheser City.

The Blues have this morning unveiled the team's second strip for the 2021-22 campaign but Carlo Ancelotti's squad will debut the kit at the Etihad on Sunday.

Everton are entering the second of a three-year-deal with Danish kit suppliers hummel and this latest design is inspired by the club's ‘Black Watch’ strip of 1881/82.

The black kit, with "burnt orange sash", can be pre-ordered online or in store from today, with it then released on sale from June 4.

Everton's new way goalkeeper top is in "classic green" and following consultation with Jordan Pickford and the other keepers comes in short sleeves.

Alan McTavish, Commercial Director at Everton, said: “We are excited to be launching the first of three new kits on the back of what was a fantastic first year of our partnership with hummel.

"Last year's campaign celebrated the strong bond between the football club and our diverse fan base and, once again, hummel has demonstrated its understanding of Everton and Evertonians with a kit that pays homage to our formative years.

"The classic-looking retro design leans on the deepest roots of our history but, crucially, is still contemporary in style, cutting edge in terms of its sustainable technology and – following three record-breaking kits last season - sure to strike a chord with our fans across the globe.”

Everton are today also unveiling the first selections of 2021/22 training kit with the new home and third kits during to be released later this summer.

Allan Vad Nielsen, hummel’s CEO, said: “We are so proud of our association with Everton Football Club and of everything that was achieved in the first 12 months of our technical partnership. Like last year, we wanted to produce a kit that would resonate with fans and be truly, authentically Everton.

"Going back to the Club's earliest years and taking our inspiration from something as iconic as the 'Black Watch' kit to illustrate the longevity and togetherness of the Everton Family just made sense.

“We hope Evertonians enjoy this kit and we look forward to seeing them back in the stands, wearing the new colours, celebrating victories as one.”
