Everton's Moise Kean sets goal target ahead of new season and talks Cristiano Ronaldo lesson

There is a huge amount of excitement surrounding new Everton frontman Moise Kean.

The former Juventus teenager developed a reputation as one of the finest young strikers in Europe during the formative stages of his career in Italy's top flight.

The 19-year-old arrived at Goodison Park with a whole host of records to his name - including being the first player born post-Millennium to play in the Champions League, the youngest player to start a competitive match for Italy for 106 years, Juve's youngest-ever debutant and the first player born in the 21st century to score in Serie A.

He also achieved a record of scoring every 89 minutes in Serie A for the Old Lady in the 2018/19 season and the Blues faithful will now be hoping he can continue that rich vein of form in the upcoming campaign.

And Kean has given fans an insight into his personal goalscoring targets for next season.

"I would say I will score seven as a minimum," he told reporters at his press conference on Tuesday.

"But I am capable of scoring more."

The first thing to note is that seven is a very sensible answer and clearly shows the youngster has a level head on his shoulders to not get carried away.

However, the reason Kean knows he has the capability to surpass his measured goalscoring expectations is that he knows he has terrific ability and he has been learning from one of the best footballers to ever grace the game - Cristiano Ronaldo.

Kean has detailed in the past that he "steals secrets" from the Portuguese in training at Juventus - and he again detailed in his press conference that he will use the lessons Ronaldo has provided to help him reach his goal targets at Everton.

"I’ve had the fortune of playing with very strong players like Cristiano Ronaldo," he said.

"Of course, I’ve learnt a lot and that’s what I’ll bring with me. It will help me to reach my target."
