Everton striker Moise Kean is in the running to be named Europe's best performing player under the age of 21.
The 19-year-old Italian, who signed for the Blues from Italian giants Juventus this summer, has been named as one of ten contenders for the prestigious Kopa award.
The Kopa award, named after legendary French player Raymond Kopa who was part of the Real Madrid side that dominated the early years of the European Cup in the 1950s, is awarded by France Football alongside the prestigious Ballon d'Or award for Europe's top player, with the contenders being selected by former Ballon d'Or winners.
Kean is up against some of the Europe's best young players for the award: they are Atletico Madrid's Joao Feliz, Borussia Dortmund's English winger Jadon Sancho, Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze, Valencia attacking midfielder Lee Kang-in, Juventus defender Matthijs De Ligt, Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr, Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz, Arsenal's Matteo Guendouzi and Real Valladolid's Andrei Lounine.
Kean is yet to score his first goal for Everton having largely figured from the substitutes bench as he settles into English football but scored six goals in thirteen Serie A games for Juventus last season before his move to Goodison.
Only last week, Kean was nominated for the prestigious Golden Boy 2019 award, presented by Italian newspaper Tuttosport for the best player under the age of 21 to be playing in the top tier of European football.
