Everton's Kieran Dowell attracting interested from relegated club eyeing Premier League return

Huddersfield Town are interested in signing Kieran Dowell as they bid to bounce straight back up to the Premier League.

The Terriers were relegated from the top tier after picking up just 16 points last season.

And they are now weighing up a move for Dowell who played his part in Sheffield United's promotion push in the second-half of the campaign.

United are also keen on the Everton youngster returning to Bramall Lane but are understood to be lining up other deals before making a decision on the Blues Academy graduate.

Dowell spent the first-half of the season with Marco Silva and the senior squad but found his opportunities limited and so sealed a January loan switch to Sheffield United.

The Ormskirk-born playmaker made 16 appearances in the Championship, scoring twice and providing one assist.

The 21-year-old's focus until the end of next month, however, will be on Euro 2019 after he was named in the England under-21 squad for the tournament which takes place in Italy and San Marino.
