Everton's outline planning application for their legacy proposals at Goodison Park were unanimously approved by Liverpool City Council on Tuesday.
This follows the news that the club's detailed proposals for a new stadium at Bramley-Moore dock were also agreed upon unanimously by a planning committee.
The Blues are keen to keep their footprint on L4 even after they have made the move to a 52,888-seater ground on the city's waterfront.
The club made a detailed presentation of the community-led legacy plans that they plan at Goodison including housing, a health centre, green spaces, retail, business facilities and more.
Having fielded a number of questions from a selection of the 11 councillors on the committee, the vote was passed unanimously by those involved.
This project will now also go to the Secretary of State Robert Jenrick for approval, similarly to the proposals in place for Bramley-Moore Dock.
If approved, Everton will have to begin work on the site within three years of moving to their new stadium.
However, the club are believed to be committed to beginning that much sooner than required.
