Everton's £30mi bid for Arsenal's Alex Iwobi is good news for Crystal Palace, according to Clinton Morrison.
football.london understands that the Toffees have submitted a £30million bid for the Nigerian, who has not featured for the Gunners in pre-season after featuring at the African Cup of Nations.
The Gunners are yet to respond to Everton's bid and it remains to be seen how Iwobi, a boyhood Arsenal fan, would respond to the offer.
But Morrison believes that the bid shows Everton have moved on from Wilfried Zaha, having been heavily linked with the Crystal Palace ace this summer.
Everton had been hoping to sign Zaha, but have already had an initial bid turned down by Crystal Palace, and reports suggest that the Toffees have been rebuffed again by the Eagles, who are increasingly reluctant to lose their star player with so little time left in the transfer window to secure a replacement.

However, with Everton now bidding for Iwobi, Morrison believes that is a good sign for Palace regarding the future of Zaha, who has also been linked with Arsenal this summer.
“That can work. With [Nicolas] Pepe coming in [at Arsenal], he probably won’t get much game time. And I can see him going to Everton.
"I think that there is a great chance of that. He won't want to be a squad player at Arsenal and if they are offering him regular football at Everton, that could happen.
“I think that probably means Everton have moved on from Wilfried Zaha, and he won’t be going there. So that would be good news for Palace and Steve Parish.”
Iwobi had an impressive season for Arsenal under Unai Emery last term, with the Nigerian netting six goals and registering nine assists in all competitions.
Arsenal had not previously made Iwobi available for transfer but now face a transfer headache in the closing stages of the window, amid such a sizeable offer.
The 23-year-old has been with the Gunners since 2004 and has made more than 100 appearances for the club, but cashing in now would provide Arsenal with the funds to make further additions before the deadline, with Unai Emery and the club's hierarchy keen to add a centre-back to strengthen the defence.
