Everton's 2020/21 third kit will be officially launched by members of disability teams

Everton have announced that selected players from their disability sides will be officially unveiling the club's new 2020/21 third kit on Wednesday morning.

Their involvement as the lead figures in the kit launch campaign kicks off the 20th anniversary celebrations for the Everton in the Community Disability Programme.

The programme, run by former England Amputee player Steve Johnson, now includes 11 sides with players of all age groups and abilities.

Steve said: "It has been a fantastic experience to begin our 20th year celebrations by being the focus of this kit launch.

"To me, it emphasises Everton’s values, the club’s appreciation and understanding of the extended Everton family, and its commitment to living up to its name as ‘The People’s Club’.

"It shows that our teams are respected as part of Everton, that the club takes our teams seriously and that our players are valued for the abilities that they have."

On Tuesday, hummel revealed that they would be releasing the club's new strip on August 26 ahead of the new campaign kicking off on September 12.

And, rather than having first team stars showing off the kit, the Blues have announced that the jersey will be first promoted by members of the disability side.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Danish sportswear brand released their latest teaser video on social media announcing the date the new strip would be released to the public.

The video shows a board with images of the Everton home and away shirts, both released earlier this year, and a note announcing that the third kit is set for release on Wednesday.

However, there is no indication as of yet over the potential colour of the new shirt.
