Everton Women manager Willie Kirk has admitted scheduling for their FA Cup final clash against Manchester City has been 'difficult' but praised the work of a young supporter attempting to showcase the female game.
10-year-old Anna launched a petition to re-arrange the Premier League fixture between Newcastle United and Everton to ensure Everton Women take top billing in their cup final on November 1.
Carlo Ancelotti takes his side to St. James' Park for a 2pm kick-off after a recent scheduling change while the Women follow suit half-an-hour later.
Anna, in a petition started on Change, outline why she believes the scheduling is 'disrespectful' to the female game.
More than 2,000 supporters have backed the proposal and Kirk applauded the 'very impressive young girl' ahead of the Women's Super League [WSL] clash against Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday.
Everton welcome Brighton to Walton Hall Park hoping to continue their perfect start to the campaign.
"She’s done great, she’s a passionate supporter of the club, not either domain - the women or the men - but the club," Kirk said of Anna and her FA Cup final petition.
"Obviously Anna wants to watch both games, which with today’s technology is possible but it’s maybe not ideal.
"The scheduling is so difficult isn’t it - to throw in last year’s competition into this season and when you try and line up everything with TV demands and when Wembley was available, it’s been really, really tough.
"I’m not sure what the answer is but Anna is a very impressive young girl."
