Everton release ticket advice to supporters after matches postponed due to coronavirus

Everton have confirmed their advice for any supporters with tickets for matches that were postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

On Friday morning a joint move from the Premier League, FA, EFL and WSL confirmed that football in the UK would be suspended until at least April 3.

This followed the news that a Blues first-team player had shown symptoms of COVID-19 and was under self-isolation, with the rest of the squad and staff advised to stay away from club workplaces for the time-being.

Club facilities at Finch Farm, Goodison Park and the Royal Liver Building have been closed until further notice.

And Everton have now updated supporters who have tickets for postponed matches, confirming that they will still be valid when the fixtures are eventually rearranged.

A statement from the club read: "We can confirm the Merseyside Derby due to be played on Monday 16 March, the Women's FA Cup tie against Chelsea scheduled for Sunday 15 March and all other competitive fixtures until at least April 3 have been postponed, in line with guidance from the FA and the Premier League.

"The step has been taken with the health and welfare of players, staff and supporters as a priority.

"Any fan with a query relating to a postponed fixture should contact the Club by emailing: servicedesk@evertonfc.com.

"Tickets purchased for any game affected will remain valid for rearranged fixtures. Details of rearranged fixtures will be released in due course."

As it stands, Everton are due to return to action on April 6 against Leicester City at Goodison Park.
