Everton receive positive Andre Gomes update with Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Alex Iwobi latest

Andre Gomes will return to Finch Farm next week to train individually after suffering a fracture dislocation to his right ankle earlier this season.

Carlo Ancelotti confirmed the news in his press conference and said he was pleased the Portuguese was recovering well.

It was initially thought Gomes would miss the rest of the season but the Everton manager explained how is recovery is developing.

"His recovery is going faster," the Italian said.

"I hope he can be with us soon because he is a fantastic player."

Ancelotti also gave updates on Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Alex Iwobi.

Gbamin had surgery on a tendon in his quadricep in October while Iwobi suffered a hamstring injury against Arsenal in December.

"Gbamin is working alone in this moment during individual sessions. Same as Iwobi," the Everton boss confirmed.

"Everyone else is in good condition."
