Everton ratings vs Sheffield United as one of best players since restart emerges

Jordan Pickford 6

Didn't have a shot to save. Dealt with a couple of crosses in more of an elaborate fashion than his manager would like. But a low-key outing for the goalkeeper – always a good sign.

Djibril Sidibe 6

A first start since football returned and understandably he needed time to find his feet. A steady performance.

Michael Keane 7

One of Everton's best players since the re-start. A couple of wayward passes aside, he did well again this evening as Everton kept Sheffield United out.

Jarrad Branthwaite 7

A full Premier League debut but so composed was the teenager he looks like he's been at this level a lot longer than a few weeks. A couple of wayward passes, in the first-half, won't have gone unnoticed by Ancelotti but he did not put a foot wrong after the break.

Lucas Digne 6

After a first-half in which he found himself pinned back a lot, he became more involved after the break

Theo Walcott 6

Should have finished with an assist but Calvert-Lewin headed his cross against the post. His pace helped stretch the hosts in the second period.

Tom Davies 7

Worked very hard throughout, covering a lot of ground, and his contribution in that regard should not be downplayed.

Andre Gomes 7

Grew in confidence as the game progressed and show his range of passing. Feels like the assist for Walcott against Villa has given him a shot in the arm of belief.

Gylfi Sigurdsson 6

Floated in the free-kick from which Richarlison broke the deadlock. Deployed in his favoured No10 position as Ancelotti changed formation. Picked up good positions in the second-half and probed without ever been that threatening.

Richarlison 7

Looked tired and, as usual, took his lumps but his quality shone through in the end. A fine, glancing header, put Everton ahead early in the second-half – a lead they held onto. His 13th league goal of the season for a the second year running.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin 5

Back in the lone frontman role as Ancelotti changed system but with isolated for big chunks of the half. Headed against the post and saw a deflected effort saved after the break.

Anthony Gordon (on for Walcott '84)

Performed his defensive duties and offered pace and a threat going forward. His cut back after a counter-attack just missed Calvert-Lewin

Seamus Coleman (on for Sigurdsson '88) 6 Little time to influence things but helped the rearguard action at the end
