Everton Premier League fixtures for 2022/23 season confirmed with Chelsea opener

Everton’s fixtures for the 2022/23 Premier League season have been announced as the Blues embark on a record 120 th top flight campaign after securing their status with a dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Crystal Palace in their final home match of 2021/22. Everton kick-off the new season against manager Frank Lampard’s previous employers Chelsea at 5:30pm on August 6.

There’s an early Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park, currently pencilled in for September 3 and in a season which pauses for six weeks as a winter World Cup is played for the first time in Qatar, Everton’s last fixture before the break is a trip to Bournemouth on November 12 while they resume action at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Boxing Day before ending the campaign at home to Bournemouth on May 28.

After hosting Chelsea in their opening fixture, Everton have another four fixtures before August is out. Their first away day is at Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa on August 13 before they host newly-promoted Nottingham Forest, back in the Premier League for the first time since 1999, on August 20.

There are then back-to-back away trips to complete the first month of the season with games at Brentford on August 27 and Leeds United on August 30. Everton cross Stanley Park to face Liverpool at Anfield on February 11 while there is also a busy schedule either side of New Year with a visit to reigning champions Manchester City on December 31 and a home match against Brighton & Hove Albion on January 2.
