Everton players' USA menu revealed as squad celebrate Florida Cup win with Planet Hollywood dinner

Evertonians are yearning for a return of the days when their team dine at football’s top table again but after winning the Florida Cup in his first game in charge as Blues boss, Rafa Benitez’s side enjoyed a private dinner at Planet Hollywood Disney Springs.

Everton’s players haven’t tasted success since they enjoyed the traditional post-FA Cup final banquet back in 1995.

Ex-Liverpool manager Benitez will know that ending the Blues’ club record wait for major silverware is the holy grail to silencing the doubters at Goodison Park over his former Anfield connections.

Lifting the Florida Cup after a penalty shoot-out victory over Colombian outfit Millonarios isn’t quite the same but it was an encouraging start to the Spaniard’s reign nevertheless and afterwards Everton’s players were treated to a slap-up meal.

The Blues were served an exclusive menu on a private floor of the restaurant respecting their Covid bubble.

Appetisers were ‘World Famous’ Chicken Crunch, Spinach Dip and Nachos while there was also a House Salad.

For the Main Course, which Americans call the ‘Entrée’, there was New York Strip Steak, Barbecue Ribs,Sesame Ginger Salmon and Penne Chicken & Broccoli.

For dessert it was Chocolate Cake, Cheesecake and of course in Florida, Key Lime Pie.

Benitez was pictured sat alongside director of football Marcel Brands and fitness coach Paco de Miguel and Everton’s players seemed to enjoy their surroundings while they also posed for a group photograph before leaving.
