Jordan Pickford 7 – Had nothing to do apart from pick the penalty out of his net until he spilled a cross and nearly gifted Arsenal an equaliser. The woodwork spared his blushes, but an uncomfortable moment all the same. Made up for it with a fine save in the last minute.
Mason Holgate 7 – Supported Alex Iwobi consistently and put some testing deliveries into the area. Defended well and did not look like a player out-of-position.
Yerry Mina 8 – Positioned himself properly and was tidy on the ball. His winner was a well-earned crescendo to an excellent run of form. Playing the best football of his time with the club.
Michael Keane 8 – Controlled and measured in everything he does defensively. A real treat to watch him at the back in this sort of form and confidence. So close to scoring from 30 yards. Another last-minute hero with a block from Alexandre Lacazette.
Ben Godfrey 8 – Produced a full-blooded tackle on Dani Ceballos that brought a vociferous roar from the Gwladys Street. Is he a left-back and hasn't told anyone? Fast becoming a fan-favourite with his desire to win the ball and pace getting forward. Does. Not. Stop. Running.
Abdoulaye Doucoure 7 – Everywhere in the opening stages before becoming a little more cautious as the game went on. His influence faded in the second-half but he is currently the most important cog of the midfield system.
Tom Davies 6 – Played an important role in the opener and stopped a dangerous Arsenal attack on the edge of the box. Performed well despite conceding the penalty. It was soft but they are given these days.
Gylfi Sigurdsson 7 – Worked hard for the team and stuck tight to Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Another set-piece assist with a wonderful near-post delivery for Mina. Looked tired towards the end but there has been a notable increase in his desire to fight for his team.

Alex Iwobi 7 – Rewarded with an assist for the opener. Always available and willing to drive at Arsenal. Looks full of confidence and his work-rate is understated. Subbed for Coleman.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin 7 – His header was eventually chalked off as an own goal but he still had to be in that position to force the mistake. Almost scored a left-footed screamer from distance too. Even when he doesn't score his work-rate and attitude are crucial to the defensive set-up. Subbed for Tosun.
Richarlison 6 – Supported Godfrey relentlessly but was quiet going forward. Pickford continuously tried to cajole him with shouts of 'Richy!' but he found it tough going. That being said he nearly created a goal and remains a threat even when uninvolved for long periods. Subbed with minutes left for Kenny.
Seamus Coleman, (on for Iwobi, 83) 6 – Good to see him back and even better to see out a vital three points.
Jonjoe Kenny (on for Richarlison, 90) – Scouser.
Cenk Tosun (on for Calvert-Lewin, 90) - Signed from Besiktas in January 2018.
