The Everton owner, according to the annual Sunday Times Rich List, has seen his fortune increase by £125m since last year but he has dropped to 82nd, from 79th, in the rankings.

Moshiri's long-time business partner Alisher Usmanov, whose USM and MegaFon brands are among Everton's sponsors, has climbed the league table after a staggering rise in his personal wealth.

Last year, Moshri saw his bank balance increase by £300m and saw him sit 79th in the standings.

In the past 12 months, the billionaire has continued to invest in Everton, taking his financial input to £450m, and his stake at Goodison was due to increase to over 90%.

Moshiri's worth was said to be around £1.4bn when he bought into the club in February 2016.
