Everton owner Farhad Moshiri and Alisher Usmanov set for £500m boost

Everton owner Farhad Moshiri will take his share of a near £500m dividend paid to shareholders of club sponsor USM Holdings.

At the start of the month, Metalloinvest, which sits under the USM, announced the staggering dividends to be paid out for the first quarter of 2021.

It was decided that 50bn Russian Rubles, around £490m, would be given to USM's main shareholders, Usmanov, Moshiri, Vladimir Stoch and Ivan Streshinsky

Usmanov, it is reported, owns around 50% of USM shares, with Stoch having 30% and Moshiri around 10%.

Metalloinvest did, however, say that some of the money "will be returned to the Company for the settlement of the intragroup transactions."

But Moshiri is still in line for a significant cash boost after a bumper opening three months of the year from Metalloinvest.

Everton's owner saw his wealth increase to £2bn in the past year, according to the recent Sunday Times Rich List, while Usmanov is said to now be worth £13.4bn.
