Everton on course for league and cup double after strikers secure final spot

Everton's under-23s remain on track for a league and cup double after a 2-0 victory over Swansea City.

The young Blues have already been crowned Premier League 2 champions but are also chasing Premier League Cup glory.

And goals from Fraser Hornby and Bassala Sambou at the Liberty Stadium this afternoon booked their place in the final with Newcastle United.

A time and date for the game has yet to be confirmed but it is expected the final will be played this month.

Hornby broke the deadlock in today's semi-final in Swansea when he connected with Anthony Gordon's free-kick with a neat side-foot volley.
