Everton offer professional deal to emerging midfield talent as trio are released

Everton have offered a first professional contract to midfielder Sebastian Quirk.

The 18-year-old had become a regular fixture in the Blues' under-23s side this season and has his progress has been recognised.

Quirk is the only Everton scholar to have been offered pro terms, thus far, but it is expected that Tyler Onyango will also be given a deal after his breakthrough season with David Unsworth's side.

Everton have released the Italian-born defender Jonathan Anderson, goalkeeper Jack Barrett and defender Joshua Hosie.

The Blues have retained the following players on scholar forms:

Harry Hagan

Liam Higgins

Sebastian Kristensen

Daniel Lowey

Sean McAllister

Jack McIntyre

Tyler Onyango
