Everton offer Djibril Sidibe future hint as loan spell ends

Everton have wished Djibril Sidibe luck with his future career as his loan spell with the club came to an end.

The France international was brought to Goodison Park in the closing stages of last summer's transfer window from Monaco to provide competition for Seamus Coleman, with Jonjoe Kenny spending the term with Schalke.

The 27-year-old made 28 appearances during his time with the Blues, the last of which coming from the bench for the 3-1 defeat to Bournemouth on Sunday.

Everton had an option to sign the full back on a permanent basis, but it would seem they are not taking it up.

The club posted a message on their Twitter page thanking Sidibe for his efforts this term and wishing him well in his future endeavours.

The tweet read: "Best of luck in your future career, Djibril! Thank you for your efforts while on loan this season."

Sidibe finished the campaign as Everton's second highest assist maker in the Premier League this term with four, behind fellow countryman Lucas Digne on seven.
