Everton have released images of Abdoulaye Doucoure back in training at Finch Farm.
The Blues midfielder is recovering from a fractured foot which he sustained at the beginning of March in the win over West Bromwich Albion.
Initial fears were that Doucoure would miss the rest of the season but Carlo Ancelotti has always refused to give up hope that he could play again before the end of May.
The ECHO reported earlier this week that the £20m man had started running again and images published by the club this morning show Doucoure back on the pitches at Everton's Halewood complex.
It is unclear if Doucoure has taken any part in team training at this stage or is just working individually.
Ancelotti is holding a press conference at 1:30pm today and will update further on Doucoure's recovery but the pictures have raised hopes that the summer signing will be back to play some part in the final six games of the season as the Blues chase down European qualification.
