Everton new stadium director on 'remarkable' Bramley-Moore Dock interest and North Liverpool transformation

We are proud to be known as The People’s Club and so it was only right that we gave people across the Liverpool City Region the opportunity to have their say on our proposals for a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock and a community-led legacy at Goodison Park.

And they have, in their many tens of thousands.

From the outset our ambition has not only been to create a new stadium for Everton and our supporters but also provide a catalyst for the transformation of North Liverpool, by creating something new that sits alongside ours and the city’s rich waterfront heritage and leaves something sustainable, permanent and desired by the community living around Goodison Park.

We were confident that this vision would strike a chord across our City Region, but the interest in and enthusiasm for our proposals has been remarkable.

Our second stage public consultation generated 43,000 responses with 96% of those in support of the Club developing a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock and a community-led legacy at Goodison Park.

The positive results from our two stages of public consultation are not only a vote of confidence in two development projects that will transform North Liverpool but also in Liverpool’s ongoing inclusive growth and regeneration.

To the 63,207 Evertonians, supporters of other teams and people without an interest in football who took time to study our proposals and provide their feedback across the two stages of consultation, I would like to offer my sincere thanks.

The many thousands of comments we received have been helpful and instructive in informing our final proposals which will be submitted for planning to Liverpool City Council by the end of the year.

If we were ever in doubt, your involvement has once again proved that from this city’s love of football, great things are made possible.
