Everton new stadium architect Dan Meis hints at potential stand name after Duncan Ferguson inspires Chelsea win

Dan Meis has jokingly hinted at a potential stand name at Everton's proposed new Bramley-Moore dock stadium after a rousing win over Chelsea.

The Blues put in a much improved display in a 3-1 victory over the west London side at Goodison Park, with a goal for Richarlison and a Dominic Calvert-Lewin double earning the hosts a crucial three points.

Duncan Ferguson was in temporary charge of the side after the sacking of Marco Silva on Thursday and , with supporters inside the ground right behind the side and their boss.

And the reaction to the Blues hero taking charge was so strong it has got Meis thinking!

The stadium architect took to Twitter for a light-hearted tweet at the end of the match, hinting that one of the stands at Everton's new Bramley-Moore dock stadium should be named after the temporary boss!

He said: "Note to self...name new home end 'the Big Dunc'  wow, what a game...Goodison at her very best! #Everton #BigDunc"

Ferguson is in temporary charge of the Blues while the search for a new permanent manager continues, with Niko Kovac the latest name linked after being pictured at Goodison Park.

However, the former Bayern Munich boss was on a "fact-finding mission" to learn more about the game in this country and will attend two more games this weekend.
