Everton new manager - David Moyes contract, Christophe Galtier latest, Manuel Pellegrini linked

Everton remain on the hunt for their new manager after the sudden departure of Carlo Ancelotti.

The now-former Blues boss left for Real Madrid in sudden circumstances at the start of this month, and now the club are looking for his replacement.

Ancelotti’s sudden departure now leaves the Blues' hierarchy searching for their sixth permanent manager in eight years.

But whoever takes over will be looking to improve on Everton’s 10th place finish in the Premier League last season.

Here is our daily round-up of the latest pieces of gossip flying around over who could become the new Blues manager.

Moyes new contract

David Moyes is reportedly set to sign a new three-year deal at West Ham United.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that a verbal agreement is in place between Moyes and the Hammers and his deal could be signed as early as this week.

Moyes managed Everton between 2002 to 2013 and had been heavily linked with a return to Goodison Park this summer.

Galtier latest

Christophe Galtier could be available for €5m this summer, not the €8-10m that was previously thought, according to reports from France.

That is according to French outlet 20 Minutes, who are reporting that a €5m fee is far palatable than the previous figures of €8-10m which have been quoted over the last few days.

While the report also claims that Lille’s new president, Olivier Létang, does not intend to let Galtier, considered ‘one of the best French technicians of the moment’ to leave on the cheap.

Reports in France on Thursday night also claimed that Galtier is set to be appointed as the new Nice manager.

Pellegrini the latest name to be linked

Manuel Pellegrini has reportedly emerged as another potential Everton target.

According to Sports Mail, Pellegrini has been contacted by intermediaries after a surprising sixth-place finish in Spain with Real Betis last year.

Farhad Moshiri is believed to have spoken to Pellegrini in 2016 when he was looking for a replacement for Roberto Martinez.
