Everton new manager - Antonio Conte message, Farhad Moshiri 'contacts' super agent, seven shortlisted

Nuno Espirito Santo Contact

Farhad Moshiri has contacted Jorge Mendes about the possibility of appointing his client Nuno Espirito Santo at Everton according to Football Insider.

Insider claim Nuno is keen for an instant return to management after leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers while Mendes wants him to 'join an ambitious club with huge financial resources'.

It is also said the appointment could work for Everton as Nuno shares his agent with James Rodriguez.

The 47-year-old Portuguese manager has reportedly held talks with Crystal Palace this summer.

Carlo Ancelotti Exit Claim

The Mirror claim Carlo Ancelotti told Farhad Moshiri he wanted to leave Everton for 'family reasons'.

Ancelotti admitted in an Everton club statement on Tuesday he had been 'presented with an unexpected opportunity which I believe is the right move for me and my family at this time'.

And The Mirror say the Italian 'forced' his way out of Goodison Park by admitting he wanted to return to Spain with his family.

They also insist he has landed a 'huge' wage packet at the Bernabeu.

Antonio Conte Message

Former Everton striker Kevin Campbell wants Farhad Moshiri to appoint Antonio Conte to replace Carlo Ancelotti.

Conte exited Inter Milan this summer after guiding the Italian giants - spearheaded by Romelu Lukaku - to Serie A glory.

Campbell told Sky Sports : "Everton have to react in a positive way. The mindset and the project is still there.

"You’ve got to try and swap Ancelotti for another quality manager, I think this is really important.

"It’s going to send out a really big message to the Evertonians.

"For me, you’ve got to go for the best manager that is available – and that is probably Antonio Conte.”

David Moyes and Everton Shortlist Gossip

The Mirror suggest former Everton manager David Moyes is being lined up to replace Carlo Ancelotti.

It is claimed the Everton board met late on Tuesday evening to discuss replacements as a shortlist was drawn up.

Moyes was mentioned alongside Roberto Martinez, Nuno Espirito Santo, Eddie Howe, Sean Dyche, Frank Lampard and Vitor Periera.
