Everton under-23 manager David Unsworth expects five players to leave on loan before the end of the current transfer window.
Callum Connolly, Beni Baningime, Dennis Adeniran, Nathan Broadhead and Josh Bowler all started the 3-0 victory over Leicester City at Southport on Monday with Connolly and Bowler on the scoresheet alongside Ellis Simms.
A host of Football League scouts attended the game including representatives from Plymouth Argyle, Fleetwood Town and Tranmere Rovers with Unsworth insisting older players are selected for u-23 action to provide a 'showcase' for their talents.
"They're not here playing because we're hand-picking them," he told the ECHO. "We want them to go out on loan and giving them a game in the u-23s gives them a showcase to get that loan.
"Dennis, Beni, Nathan, Josh, Callum, they are all players I expect to be out on loan but the loan [window] is a little bit later so I understand why clubs haven't taken them yet.
"It'll probably be last-minute for most of them but I certainly expect all of them to go out on loan. On tonight's performance they have certainly shown they are top young players."
Everton are also hoping to find Matthew Pennington a new club this summer with the defender missing the opening two games of the Premier League 2 season because of a small knock.
Pennington is set to return to training this week while Kyle John and Broadhead, substituted inside the opening 15 minutes against Leicester, are set for scans.
Broadhead left the field as a precaution after feeling his hamstring while John suffered an ankle injury.
Lewis Dobbin missed the game with a thigh strain that could rule him out for up to a month.
